This is a sketch i did of my impression of what somebody like Andy Warhol would be doing if he were making art today. I think the credit card is symbolic for todays age, and also could be a image of something kind of normal that is used in our everyday lives, turned into art. Kind of like what Andy Warhol did the the famous Campbell's Soup can. It was something ordinary in peoples pantries or kitchen shelves, that lots of people wouldn't think twice of how it looked or what other uses it could have, but Andy Warhol was able to turn it into art. I like the fact that the image is mostly monochrome except for the credit card. The size of the credit card is great too giving it a lot of importance. Janet
I like the pose the girl is in, almost care less. The way the credit card is presented its like its all she has and all she needs. Would make an excellent mag ad. On the other hand its showing what our culture has been reduced to, one card gets you everything and anywhere.

I love how the arm of the girl leans into the centre of the image, therefore leading you towards the main focus which is the credit card. Having the credit card as the only piece taken from a magazine helps reflect the whole purpose of the work compared to the hand drawn girl.

I really love the simplicity of your work. I agree with Bella that the girls pose looks almost care less sending out the message that we take credit cards for granted and could not live with out them.
